Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp

2016 Camp

Since 2000, the Amputee Coalition has provided a safe place for kids to learn more about living with limb loss and limb difference. Today, it has evolved to traditional summer camp, complete with canoes and campfires. Most importantly, the focus is on them.

The campers feedback is that they get to be normal here. They get to talk to other kids (and counselors) who share their experiences. They can learn and challenge themselves and have a great time while they do it.

Send a Kid To Camp

Although our application process is complete for the year, your generous support can still help send a kid to camp July 7-12. Just $2,000 will  provide a camp experience like no other!

About Our Camp

The Amputee Coalition’s Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp is a 6-day, traditional summer camp experience for youth ages 10-17 with limb loss / limb differences. Campers are challenged to increase independence, test themselves, and build new friendships through fun and exciting activities in a caring and supportive environment. We recommend applying early, since in past years there has been a waiting list to attend camp.

All camp costs are covered, including transportation.

“The benefits for my child were deep. I expected it to be fun, but I did NOT expect her to find out she is a leader, that she can help others and that she is not alone. In addition, she could really be herself for the first time since her illness and amputation- she was not able to ‘hide’ behind her prosthetic and the real kid came out! It was life- changing actually!”
